Procedure (38-52 minutes)
Lokk at the photos. Who are the people? What do you think is happening?
Read the introduction. Who is Harry Benson? How many years did he work as a photographer? Who did he take photos for? Read the text and match paragraphs 1-3 with photos Clarify the meaning of the words memorable, staff, stones, cabinet
Look at the higligted verbs in paragraph 1. What tense are they? Elicit the Structure. Can you find other examples of Past Continuous in the text? Underline them. Check in pairs.
Do you know any other past tense? Students are likely to Remember Past Simple tense. Elicit the form. Find the examples of Past Simple in the text. Elicit the difference between the two tenses. Draw a timeline.
Students do three small excercises from the SB and TB Look at the photo. What can you see? Where are they? What are they doing? Discuss in pairs. Read what photographer says and check your answers What happened to the photo? What happened 30 years later? Listen to the people talking about their photo. Are they still in love? Listen again and mark sentenses True or False. Check in pairs Optional: Complete the centences with at, on, in.
Pairwork. Students get different texts on two different photos, read them ant then show their partner the photo and tell him about it.
