Procedure (31-40 minutes)
Anagram - the word Artist as a warm-up.
A famous painting by Toulouse-Lautrec. Demonstrate it to the Ss and ask what is happening in the picture. Use their answers as the examples of the Pr. Cont. Tense. Put one of the sentences on the board, e.g. They are talking and drinking. Since I assume they know the form already, I will try to elicit its meaning. CCQ - When is it happening? What Tense do we use for actions happening now? How do we form the Pres. Cont. Tense? Then go through the positive, negative and interrogative forms of it.
Ex. 3 p 9 - Workbook. It is also a good exercise because it introduces some prepositions of place, which we will touch upon later.
Ex.1Ca p 127 SB They will do it orally.
I demonstrate an object and ask the Ss to say where it is. Change its place - they say again where it is. They do a matching exercise
Pre-teach/revise the words they may have forgotten or don't know. statue, attendant, sculpture, audiogide. Put Ss into pairs, so that A and B can't see each other's sheets. I demonstrate the 1st one by being both A and B. Ss describe the same pictures to each other and find 7 differences. (and circle them) Check the differences orally with the class.
The feedback will consist of three parts. 1. On the task itself - to check how it was performed. 2. Possible mistakes correction. 3. Good language examples (if I collect them)
