Students to practice and improve their speaking and writing skills.
Procedure (45-59 minutes)
Give ss example of short questions and answers with he and she. Q1: Does she like London? Yes, she does. Q2: Does she miss the USA? No, she doesn't Wh- questions Q1. What does she think about British people? Q2: Where does she come from?
Students practice the use of present simple tense in short questions and answers. They also practice and learn how to create wh questions.
T raises sts awareness on likes and dislikes which they have studies in their last lesson. T asks the sts to write the examples of short questions, answers and wh questions which they learnt today in their books.
T checks the pronunciation of the new questions and answers.
T gives out HO1 ( Cutting Edge P37) and asks the students to use the prompts to make questions. Sts to do self-check from answer sheet which is stuck on the wall. T asks sts if they have any questions.
T gives sts HO3 (Cutting Edge p37: Exercise 2a) and asks sts to work in groups and do the multiple choice exercise. T goes over the answers with the students.
T gives sts a text where basic structure is used to describe a friend. T asks students to look at it for few mins. T asks the sts to write about their own friend. T asks sts to change their papers and every sts to read one sentence.
