Procedure

Warmer (5-8 minutes) • Introduce the future time expressions

I will share a "personal" story with the class. I will tell them that I have four days off for "AID" and ask them where do they think I should go/do in Turkey. They will then give me suggestions. After they giving me their suggestions, I will tell them( using the future time expressions ) what I will be doing during those four days. Ex. I am going to Sultan Ahmet on Thursday.

Vocabulary Builder (2-5 minutes) • To learn new vocabulary words (time expressions)

Since the students are going to tell me WHEN to do the activities, I will write them on the W/B and then introduce the ones they will not state such as next week, this week, tomorrow etc... I will explain them using a calendar.

Practice 1 (2-5 minutes) • Vocabulary

In this exercise, they will be practicing the new vocabulary they have learnt in pairs. They should match a time expression with its meaning. Finally, they will be given an answer key to check their answers.

Practice 2 (5-8 minutes) • Familiarizing the students with arrangements

The teacher will give the students sentences to match with notes. They will be given an answer key to check their answers. After that, they will be asked if the sentences are about the past, present or future.

Practice 3 (5-10 minutes) • To review language for making arrangements

The students will be put into pairs facing each other across the room. They will be a given a dialogue that has some missing parts. They have to shout out the the missing parts to their partners until they have both completed it.

Practice 4 (5-10 minutes) • To use the time expressions

The students will be given a timetable and they should fill it in after asking each other what they will be doing.
