in this lesson ss will learn about different adjectives with -ed and -ing.

Main Aims

  • To provide gist reading practice using a text about daily activities in the context of blind date

Subsidiary Aims

  • To provide fluency speaking practice in a conversation in the context of describing people

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (7-12 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

T will start the class with a question:( who is interesting to you? Why?) (who is boring to you? Why?) with these simple questions teacher will elicit ss. and T will ask other questions. like; why are you interested to funny guys? so ss can find out what is difference between them.

Exposure (8-10 minutes) • To provide context for the target language through a text or situation

T will write the adjectives on the board and make an example for ss. then t asks them to make a sentence with them. to elicit who didn't understand the context.

Clarification (10-15 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the target language

t will ask a question: have you ever went to a blind date? or a date? -how was it? - did you see him/her again? why? _how did he/she look like? how was he/she? and then after teaching new words and asking them to repeat we will open the book and the should read the text.

Controlled Practice (12-15 minutes) • To concept check and prepare students for more meaningful practice

now ss should answer the question which is in the book. then we check the answers.

Semi-Controlled Practice (8-10 minutes) • To concept check further and prepare students for free practice

t will show some pictures to ss and they should talk about that date. and what if it was your date? do you like these kinds of dates?? what kind of dates do you prefer? what is important for you in your date? Job? Appearance? age? Hight? weight?

Free Practice (10-15 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

who is your favorite date? t shows some pictures to ss and ask their opinion about them? why do they want to go on the date with/without them. and ss should talk about an interesting person who is their favorite date red flags and green flags.

game (9-13 minutes)

t ho some papers which is written some adjectives. volleyball is interesting. basketball is boring and some more. ss should remember what their friend said in order and the last one should say everybody's sentences.in this game they can repeat the sentences so their problem will solve.
